It's not Windows, but your lack of understanding with how computers works, is the reason why you are having problems. To be honest with you, what you have done is comprised security to make tasklist work by disabling the firewall.

Also, the fact that you had to "assign" a password to the user account which indicates no password existed in the first place is probably another reason why you should not go around killing processes in the first place. Ports are how computers communicate with each other see Wikipedia definition and has nothing to do with it just being a Windows operating system. I didn't say that I LEFT the Firewall switched off — but as a previous correspondent it was the only way I could get it to work — nobody yet has suggested another way to get it to work —.

You cand do that also with WMI, send the user and password to the remote process and use impersonation to do all your access to shared resources.
