Microsoft lifechat lx-3000 usb connector circumaural stereo headset
Pros: Absolutely love this headset. The ear pads are soft and do not cut circulation like some over ear headsets. The volume buttons in line are a nice touch. Cons: I understand why they have the mute button on the cord but it is very easy to put it down, pick back up, and find that you muted yourself by accident "hey, can you hear me? But honestly that con is barely even a negative. This one is no exception. Pros: This headset is a very large improvement over my Logitech Premium USB headset, the headset fit around my ears perfectly and was very comfortable for 4 hours plus.
The people I had on skype said that they could notice a difference in how extremely crisp and clear my words were coming through and I felt like I could hear small background noises much better.
Music sounded great, and background noise including my own voice was silent in the headset. Cons: The "Live Messenger" call button doesn't do anything but open up an IE webpage about downloading Live Messenger unless you have it installed. I don't use Live Messenger so this button is rather worthless.
Unlike most other Microsoft products, where special buttons can be reconfigured, this one does not look like it can be. Overall Review: The cord was a little shorter than my Logitech Premium USB headset, and while this is fine for me, I could see where it might be a little short to do much cable management around a large desk. Pros: The audio quality of this headset is outstanding, especially for a product that seems intended for mostly voice communication.
Not only does my music sound great, but when playing a game and utilizing any communication app, both the game audio and voices are loud and clear, while my former headsets always seemed to muffle one or the other. Cons: Headset is slightly uncomfortable, especially at first. Through trial and error I have found a way to wear it that causes almost no discomfort, but out of the package the headset is very, very tight against my ears.
Also the volume control box is placed at just the right position where it seems to always hit the armrests of my chair, causing random volume changes and muting of the mic. Overall Review: As with any headset, if it is too tight you can loosen it up a bit by storing it on any object slightly wider than your own head. Cons: not really a con but volume control button is kind of heavy and weighs cord down. Overall Review: For the price you really can't beat this headset.
I bought it for gaming so wasn't expecting great sound quality, but they sound really good when listening to music. Add to cart. Price Alert. Add To Wish List. Are you an E-Blast Insider? See more " microsoft headset ". Software Licensing.
