We spent the week, drinking, eating, lounging by the pool, deep sea fishing, shopping, visiting the famous Whale Tail, hiking to waterfalls, and even had a private chef come to the house and cook for us a few times!

Truly, a very amazing and special place. Owner was easy to work with. Made the long 3 and half hour drive worth it. The place has unbelievable views and is perfectly located near places of interest, yet separate enough that you can relax and not see many people if you want to just enjoy the jungle and the sounds of the forest. It was wonderful and worth the drive. I loved getting to see the countryside along the drive as well as making stops along the way to eat and get fresh fruits from the markets. The view was breathtaking and the wildlife was wonderful. You for sure need a 4 wheel drive to get to and from the house. There are several towns and beautiful beaches not too far from the house as well as lots of delicious places to eat.

There are air conditioners in the bedrooms that work great to cool the rooms at bedtime but the main part of the house is not air-conditioned. Overall the stay was by far one of our best vacations!!

Don't miss this one! Good morning, I can't say enough about the Casa Alta Vista. We were so fortunate to be able to live in such a paradise for our stay in Dominical. The grounds were amazing and the house had every comfort we could think of. We did experience a power outage one night and were grateful to have the lanterns waiting for us.

As I sit in my office this morning I am thinking of the howler monkeys, toucans, and our friendly sloth who appeared daily. It was an incredible experience that we hope we can enjoy again in the future. My family of seven adults and my fifteen-month-old granddaughter stayed in Casa Alta Vista for a week. We loved the house and the space that it gave us all. We had a few rainy evenings, but then the living room accommodated us comfortably.

The view from the home, especially from the pool area is just stunning! We enjoyed the pool and walking around the grounds looking at the beautiful flowers and the small waterfall down the driveway when there had been some heavy rain. We had a wonderful trip and would rent this house again in a heartbeat if ever we have another family vacation. Everything you need to feel right at home. Pool and outdoor kitchen are great! This house is everything you see in pics and more. We had a great stay in March with a group of six. Make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle to get up the road to the house. We had two SUVs and one SUV turned out to be front wheel drive and we got stuck and had to park down the hill until the rental car company brought us another.

Alonso was a great help that evening getting us to the house. We had groceries delivered by Stephen to the house just prior to our arrival which was very helpful. The house was very clean and the gardener, housecleaner and pool man all did a great job keeping it looking great. Our first day was a relaxing day at the house and pool and we saw toucans, aracaris, an agouti and a white nose coati on the property. We enjoyed hiking to Nauyaca Waterfalls upper and lower. It was a hot hike but got to see macaws, peacocks and Capuchin monkeys as well as another coati. We also had a private tour at Manuel Antonio National Park and saw a lot of sloths and other animals.

We went zip lining with Osa Canapy tour with a beach stop at the Whale Tail at low tide in Uvita, which you can see from the pool at the house!

Several restaurants in Dominical area - Great dinner at Por Que No for sunset, Phat noodle was good food, a little slow service. Make sure to have some lunches at a local "soda".

The house was great. We had two episodes of regional black outs, one for 2 hours in the middle of the night and the last evening from late evening until early morning. The house has battery powered lanterns which were handy. Just part of the experience. The best treat on the last day of our trip was seeing a sloth in the tree by the pool enjoying eating buds on the tree and moving from branch to branch. We would love to come back and we are sharing the listing with friends that saw our pictures.

The view from the backyard was absolutely spectacular! Pura Vida! Casa Alta Vista was amazing and as nice as the pictures are on the site, the house is even better in person. You wake up in the morning and drink your coffee looking out over your infinity pool to the most amazing view of the Pacific Ocean and the whales tale in Uvita.

The sounds of howler monkeys and toucans are in the trees all around you. We had 15 people and this house had no problem sleeping all of us. Also, the staff was always very quick to respond to any questions we had. Another perk, the house is less than a mile away from Bar Jolly Roger which has great food and a total Costa Rican feel.

The view was just incredible, and the house had so many outdoor spaces to enjoy it from. The view looks down on the "Whale's Tale" beach at Uvita. You could honestly just spend hours staring at it.
